A glamourous, vintage, 1960s cocktail ring, featuring a big, exceptional, once in a lifetime, Burmese peridot. This gem is highly-saturated, grass green, and crystal clear— its weight is approximately 19 carats. The peridot is held aloft in an 18k yellow gold setting, whose open, cage-like shape is iconic of the period. Three, round, brilliant-cut, white diamonds adorn either side of the rare central gemstone. The GIA refers to peridot as "the extreme gem," because it is one of only two gemstones (diamond

A whimsical 18k gold band, set with an array of fancy colored diamonds, in various shapes. Among these natural, bezel set stones is a cognac round brilliant diamond, two round brilliant canary diamonds, a silver colored round brilliant diamond, and two white diamonds (a triangle and a diamond shape). This playful geometric arrangement sits atop the ring's cutaway face, which has been textured for contrast and features a couple of shapely notches that I especially love.

An Art Deco era ring, whose floral decor has a sweet Art Nouveau flair. This ring is modeled in 18k white gold and set with a charming, .40 carat, old European cut diamond. This plump diamond is bead-set into the ring's hex-shaped head. The figural setting features lotus blossoms and their leaves, along with other curling vine-like elements.

Victorian Era Hairwork Handshake Ring in 14k Gold
A mid 20th century modernist ring, whose central element is a vibrant lapis lazuli cabochon. Revealer or inner truths, pigment of masters, this lapis cabochon sits betwixt a pair of curved, talon-like forms that suggest an orbital movement. Two white diamonds attend the lapis cabochon at NE and SW. This jewel is tough, pretty, and pretty mystical! Metal is 14k yellow gold.

A classic mourner, beautifully inscribed in Remembrance of Mary Chippindale, and dated for 1817, the year of her crossing o’er. This old darling is made in a manner typical of the period— it features a plaited lock of hair that rests beneath a domed, rectangular, crystal, where it is encircled by a halo of faceted, collect-set, jet gems.

An Art-deco-era ring, made in 18k white gold, and set with a big, icy, aquamarine gem. This pear-shaped aquamarine is crowned with a flouncy, diamond-encrusted bow, in a manner reminiscent of the Victorian-era and its "crowned heart" jewelry. These earlier hearts were also created with pear-shaped stones and this traditional motif is meant to symbolize fidelity in a partnership, and to identify the ruler of one's heart!

A Georgian-era, mourning ring, made in high karat yellow gold, in rememberence of two men from Kent, England— William Gibbs, -1811, age 73, and Comfort Kingsmill, -1809, age 71. William’s name is noted on the ring’s outer shank, which is decorated in black and white champlevé enamel; Comfort’s is hand-engraved on the shank’s interior, in beautiful script. The ring's rectangular face sits slightly proud of the tapering shank, like a plaque.

A soulful, Victorian-era, three stone gypsy ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose precise, six-pointed, star-shaped seats hold a trio of gemstones— a chunky, little old mine cut diamond, and a pair of old cut rubies. The ring's shoulders are decorated with an ornate, deeply-engraved arrow motif (to represent that cupid's arrow that struck you and your beloved). All of the ring's engraved elements are expertly hand-executed. This darling is hallmarked for Birmingham and the year 1902.

A charming, Art Deco era cluster ring, modeled in platinum--- set with a bevy of early modern brilliant cut diamonds and one vibrant, natural emerald. This old darling's eight white diamonds are set in full bezels and arranged in an east/west navette shape, around the central bezel-set gem, in a manner that suggests an eye. These little bezels are touching, but discreet, and the generous space around them gives this ring a contemporary, geometric vibe.

A sweet, Art Nouveau era ring, whose old cut blue sapphire is a flower bud, nodding above a pair of silver-topped, rose cut diamond set leaves. This ring is made in 14k rose gold, with a swooping, asymmetrical band, that curves gracefully and then jags, here and there. Its glinting rose cut diamonds are smoky, and rustic. These small, poetic, Art Nouveau pieces are few and far between.

A Georgian-era pansy form ring, modeled in high karat gold, whose petals are set with faceted garnet and chrysoberyl gems. This little flower is highly-dimensional, thanks to the slight pitch of its petals, and the alternating colors of these petals add a loves me, loves me not suggestion to this traditional sweetheart motif. The ring's ornate split shoulders and reeded shank are shapely, unusual, and joined by a delicate shell-like medallion. Pansy is the "think of me" flower,

A turn-of-the-century (20th) intaglio ring of rare quality, made in 18k yellow gold and featuring the most beautiful, finely-detailed, hardstone carving of a falcon. This romantic figure is hand carved into a rectangular sard slab (sard is an earthy-red variety of chalcedony). He is very dignified, with his breast thrust forward. The hook in his beak is crisp and clear, as are the tiny feathers of his wings. This rectangular gem is held securely in squared groups of prongs
