A sweet Victorian-era ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose central gem is a luminous, natural, saltwater pearl. Surrounding this pearl, a series of nine old European cut diamonds (H/I, VS1-SI1) rest in a combination of fishtails and claw-like prongs. This ring has a pierced, crown-like gallery. Its slender, half-round shank is collared at the shoulder, and it tapers toward the base. We love this classic haloed form, and the elegant diamond-and-pearl combination that was so popular during this era! The textural contrasts (vitreous v. nacreous) and different ways of shining (glow v. sparkle) are really highlighted in this monochromatic arrangement. Marked 18k for purity.
