RE-SIZING, RESTORATION, & CUSTOMIZATION
Poor Mouchette is happy to provide complimentary re-sizing with your ring purchase, where re-sizing is possible. Most rings can be re-sized, to some degree, without compromising their integrity. Our thoughts on resizing will usually be noted under the size of a ring, on our product pages. Please be advised that custom sizing will add two weeks to our estimated shipping time. Feel free to contact us with any questions you might have.
BRICK & MORTAR: RE-SIZING
Please plan to pick up your ring, during business hours, two weeks after you leave it with us for resizing. If your job is finished sooner, we will let you know!

Each item in our inventory our guaranteed to be as described.
APPRAISALS
If you require the services of an appraiser, please send us an inquiry. We're happy to provide appraisal services for individual pieces or collections of any size. Appraisals are completed by independent GIA graduate gemologists.
SHIPPING
We ship via UPS, within 3-5 business days of receiving your order. Shipping within the United States is free. Please contact us about shipping internationally— we ship worldwide expedited, and will provide at-cost quotes on a case-by-case basis. All of our parcels are fully insured.
As of June 19, 2026 (due to EU Directive 2023/2673) we are not able to ship orders made through our website to European Union countries. Sorry pals!

ONLINE ORDERS: RETURNS
Poor Mouchette guarantees authenticity and 100% satisfaction on all online purchases. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it, for a refund, within 5 days of delivery. Please contact us ASAP, in the event that you need to arrange a return. All returned jewelry must be received in the same condition it was in when it was shipped to you. Jewelry will not be accepted for return if it has been damaged, altered or worn.
All returns are subject to a 7% restocking fee— this covers credit card processing fees, which are no longer refunded to us when we process a return, and other incidental costs associated with your return (shipping, insurance, packaging, etc.). Online shops lose a good deal of money accepting frivolous returns, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Buyers are responsible for the cost of return shipping, and for shipping insurance.
It is our policy not to issue partial refunds for any reason. Custom and customized items, discounted items, and items purchased via layaway are not eligible for return.
Jewelry shipped internationally may require import/customs payments upon receipt— we cannot mitigate these fees. At this time, international sales are final.
BRICK & MORTAR: EXCHANGES
Purchases made at Poor Mouchette's brick-and-mortar location may be exchanged within 8 days of purchase, for store credit only. If you are giving a gift, and need a larger exchange window, please mention this at the time of purchase. We do not offer refunds on in-store purchases.
When exchanging an item purchased in-store, you may choose to take your store credit in the form of a credit slip, or you may exchange your original purchase for another piece, right away. Please use your credit slip within one year from the date of exchange, unless another timeline has been agreed upon.
Please note that customized items (rings that have been resized, bracelets that have been lengthened or shortened, etc.) and custom items are not eligible for exchange.
BOXES
We may occasionally use an antique box as a photography aid, but rings don't ship with these rare, old boxes. We use many charming boxes in our brick-and-mortar shop displays, but we do not sell these antique boxes.
