5.7 Carat Pastel Yellow Sapphire & OEC Diamond Ring

An elegant three-stone engagement ring, modeled in platinum and 18k yellow gold, whose primary gem is a natural, antique, 5.7 carat, cushion-cut yellow sapphire. This pillowy sapphire has a soft, icy-yellow color— it glitters cheerfully atop the ring face, where it rests in a yellow gold basket. This sapphire is held in place by four pairs of tapering, claw-like, yellow gold prongs. Astride it, two sparkling, old European cut diamonds (.52 carats each, H/I, SI) decorate the ring's cathedral shoulders. The ring's platinum shank is subtly knife-edged, and it widens slightly toward the base.

This ring was inspired by Art Deco era designs, but is newly made by Poor Mouchette, with antique gemstones. This ring was designed, cast, and finished in Portland, OR, by collaborating, independent craftspeople and designers— even the antique gemstones were sourced locally.
