A monumental late-vintage ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose gem is a 28 carat, type A, lavender jade cabochon. This soft, cool lavender jade is highly translucent, with a glowing quality we usually associate with moonstone— an internal light seems to shift across the face of the jade, when the gem is moved. It is held in two large claw-like prongs, to the north and south. To the east and west a pair of long tabs, integral to the broad, flat ring shank, further secure the cabochon. We love this ring for its weighty build, and striking modernist sensibilities! The jade itself is genuinely seductive— it is hard to capture its translucence and glowing quality in still photos. Marked 18k for purity.
