A Victorian era cluster ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose star-shaped face is set with thirteen, chunky, old mine cut diamonds (approx 1.2 carats). These charming, hand-cut stones are held in a combination of beads and claw-like prongs, that are integral to the ring head— the diamonds vary slightly in color and clarity, but read well-matched, sparkly and bright-white in wear. This ring is low-profile, with collared shoulders, and a tapering, half-round shank. It's rare to find a Victorian cluster, like this one, in a star shape! It would make an wonderful, unusual engagement ring. Marked 18k for purity.
