Poor Mouchette | Curated Antique Jewelry, Vintage Jewelry & Engagement Rings | Portland, Oregon | A Victorian-era, toi et moi cluster ring, modeled in 14k yellow gold, whose primary gems (a pair of moonstone cabochons) are surrounded by sparkling halos of old European cut diamonds. These sugarloaf moonstones are water clear, and each has a strong blue flash that remains anchored at its peak, while shifting with movement. The twenty-two OEC diamonds are chunky, white and eye clean, with small tables

A Victorian-era, toi et moi cluster ring, modeled in 14k yellow gold, whose primary gems (a pair of moonstone cabochons) are surrounded by sparkling halos of old European cut diamonds. These sugarloaf moonstones are water clear, and each has a strong blue flash that remains anchored at its peak, while shifting with movement. The twenty-two OEC diamonds are chunky, white and eye clean, with small tables, steep crown facets, and open culets. They are held in a combination of beads and fishtail prongs that are integral to the ring's crown-like head. The ring's slender half-round shank is collared at the shoulder, and it tapers toward the base. We love the ethereal, light-filled quality of this ring, and its delicate, garland-like halos. The light play between the moonstones and diamonds is also wonderful— one glows while the other sparkles, and the diamonds reflect in the moonstones!  Marked 14k for purity.

The curved ring face and extreme light-play made this ring very difficult to photograph. The ring is visually delicate and flawless, in hand. Its diamonds are bright, white and vibrant.
