Victorian Green Turquoise & OEC Diamond Halo Ring
* * SOLD * *
A low-profile, Victorian era cluster ring, modeled in 14k rosy yellow gold, whose central, turquoise gemstone is encircled by a halo of eleven old European cut diamonds. This turquoise is green-blue, with subtle, nebulous variegation. It has acquired a beautiful, silky, jade-like lustre, in the course of its life. The surrounding, chunky OEC diamonds are bright and lively (H/I, VS1-SI1), with little tables, steep crown facets, and small, open culets. These gems are mounted in the ring's crown-like head, where they are held in place by a combination of beads and modified prongs. The ring's shank is half round; it tapers from sculpted shoulders, toward the base. We love the textural contrasts here— the waxy glow of the turquoise, paired with the flashing sparkle of these old diamonds— and the ring's perfect proportions! This would make an outstanding engagement ring. It is marked "14," for 14k purity.
