Victorian Era Silver Top Five Stone Old Mine Cushion Cut Diamond Ring in 18k Gold
Poor Mouchette
* * SOLD * *
A beautiful, Victorian era, five stone ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold with a silver top. This ring is set with a graduating series of soulful, old mine cushion cut diamonds— these hand-cut diamonds have the steep crown facets, small tables, and open culets that distinguish this beloved old cut. They are held in unusual, modified, ribbon-like prongs, which lend the ring face a somewhat bezel-like appearance. This ring features a deeply-carved, ornate, scrolling gallery— the scroll work, here, is especially clean and well-executed. The ring’s central diamond weighs approx .45 carats; CTW is approx 1.17 carats. This would make an outstanding engagement or wedding ring! Marked W.Mc.G inside a rectangular cartouche (for the maker), and 18ct for purity.
