Poor Mouchette
* * SOLD * *
A lovely, Victorian-era locket, modeled in 14k yellow gold, whose front and back sides are swathed in bright, kingfisher-blue enamel. This medium-sized, oval locket bears a charming anchor motif on its face, and this anchor is set with a handful of natural, silvery seed pearls. A pair of tin type photos rest inside the locket, under glass— a man and woman wearing serious expressions. Both photos are subtly tinted. This locket opens and closes admirably, with a little snap, and all of its original components are present. The anchor was worn as a symbol of hope in Victorian times, so this jewel might serve as a reminder to remain hopeful and steadfast!
