* * SOLD * *
An unusual, Victorian-era, working, compass watch fob, modeled in 18k rosy yellow gold, and crowned with a sleek pair of hunt horns and a small horseshoe. The compass face is silvery, with black markings to indicate the cardinal and inter-cardinal directions; the words "true north" are printed alongside the needle that indicates North. The fob's reverse is set with a lovely bloodstone slab, originally intended as a seal. This fob is marked 18ct, for fineness, and with a small maker's monogram (BB). It wears beautifully as a large pendant, alone or alongside other meaningful pieces.
Compass measures approx 18.7 mm; total height is approx 32.7 mm, including bail.
