Poor Mouchette | Curated Antique Jewelry, Vintage Jewelry & Engagement Rings | A Victorian-era row ring, modeled in 14k yellow gold, whose form imitates a pair of separate, stacked, gem-set bands. These five-stone darlings— one a series of apple-green emeralds, and the other a series of white, old mine cut diamonds— were made in this “joined” style, and have always been a single ring. Here, each gem rests in a seat that was fabricated for its unique shape

Here, each gem rests in a seat that was fabricated for its unique shape, and each is held in place by a combination of prongs and fishtails. The ring shank is split at the shoulder, and it features subtle knife-edge details. This ring is equally beautiful on the inside— tiny, spade-shaped cutouts can be found where the backsides of the ring faces meet. We love this ring for its bright, cheerful presence, and for the unique shapes of its individual gemstones— they give us that fascinating, different-but-same repetition.

This ring is in lovely, original condition. We have left the emeralds as-found, and they exhibit the facet wear you would expect from an emerald ring of this age. It is our opinion that this facet wear does not negatively effect the ring's look, on the hand.
