An elegant, handmade, three stone ring, modeled in platinum and 18k gold, whose primary gem is a natural, untreated, teal-colored Sri Lankan sapphire (1.37 carats). This elongated, cushion cut sapphire is held in a yellow gold, split-prong basket, where it is flanked by a pair of white, prong-set, trapezoid diamonds (F/G, VS1). The ring's knife-edge shank is slender, with a small pennant detail at the shoulders; it tapers slightly toward the base. We love the unique color of this untreated sapphire— vivid, bright, but also earthy, it calls to mind the teal aspect of a peacock's feathers.
This ring was designed by Poor Mouchette and handcrafted in Portland, OR. The sapphire was sourced ethically, from a small, family owned mine. The diamonds were sourced locally, on the secondhand market.
