Retro Era Sheltered Pearl Folate Earrings in 18k Gold
Poor Mouchette
* * SOLD * *
A pair of Retro era drop earrings, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose highly-dimensional, naturalistic, folate forms were hand-pierced from gold sheet, and moulded (like a shelter) around their lustrous Akoya pearls. These leafy mounts are hand engraved and decorated with beads of granulation. The pearls they shelter read like fruit beneath the leaves— this effect is unusual and very pretty! The pearls themselves are large, and warm white in color, with a strong, metallic, iridescent luster. The earwires are also beautifully handmade— they are hinged, at the base, and close with a tension latch.
