"Restless Within" Intaglio Signet Ring

A charming contemporary signet ring, with Victorian sensibilities, crafted in 14k gold by the New York jeweler, The Moonstoned. The east/west-oriented, oval face of this little ring bears an intaglio-carved likeness of a pocket watch along with a motto— Calme Dehors Agitee Dedans— which translates (from the French) to mean “calm on the outside, restless within.” This ring is low profile, and it’s very cozy in wear. It would make a wonderful signature piece for someone with a restless mind (or heart)! We love the sentiment, here, along with the wonderful textures that enliven the face of the seal . . . the fine, slubby, horizontal pin-striping, and the little fingerprint hidden in the watch face!
