Mid Century Jade & Diamond Intersections Ring
in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A very cool mid 20th century modernist ring, modeled in 14k yellow gold, set with a vibrant green jade cabochon and a pair of sparkling diamonds. The ring's setting is imagined as a series of bold, intersecting lines, both flowing and crisply angled: a trio of flowing wires passes over, then through, the ring's central, crisp, v-shaped form; this v-shaped form splits at the ring's shoulder, and its split wire curves upwards, like a shoot. A pair of round, brilliant cut diamonds are are set inside our flowing, descending wires. The ring's oval, jade cabochon is held in prongs between the central, v-shaped form and it's offshoot. A combination of Florentine-finished and high-polished surfaces adds further visual interest to this already interesting orchestration. We love the movement in this design— it speaks to the atomic era aesthetic, while also referencing the brushstrokes of kanji characters! Marked 14k for purity and with the maker's cartouche.
