Mid Century Modernist J. Arnold Frew Opal Ring
A Bubble Factory with Pearls in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A wildly-imaginative, mid-20th-century modernist ring, modeled in 14k yellow gold, by J. Arnold Frew (California). This ring is made with an expressive, looping, open-work setting, and it holds a vibrant, blue-green, opal triplet at its center. The four luminous pearls mounted behind our bezel-set opal are suggestive of rising bubbles, or steam, while the atomic forms of the "frame" suggest movement. Taken together, these playful elements give the impression of a bubble factory! This cocktail ring is seriously unique and indomitably cheerful . . . we are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dreams! Marked 14k for purity and with the maker's signature, Frew.
