Poor Mouchette | Curated Antique Jewelry, Vintage Jewelry & Engagement Rings | A striking contemporary toi et moi ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose gems are a .70 carat, pear-shaped diamond (G/H, VS), and a vibrant, gold-flecked, lapis lazuli cabochon (also pear-shaped). The pyrite figuring in this lapis gem is heavy and especially fine, reading like a splash on one side. The 9 mm diamond has a big presence on the hand; it is sparkling, near-colorless and beautifully cut.

These two gems rest in smooth bezels, not touching but slightly overlapping on the vertical plane. A study in contrast and counterbalance, we love this ring for it's marriage of opposites— the opaque, vibrant-blue lapis standing alongside the sparkling, white diamond! The ring's serpentine shank tapers toward the base. The surface of the metal is finely brushed.

This ring was entirely handcrafted in Portland, OR, by collaborating, independent craftspeople and designers. The diamond is reclaimed and was sourced locally.
