A Georgian era diamond cluster ring, fabricated in 14k rose gold and silver, whose primary gem is a 24-facet, oval rose cut diamond. This pointed, high-dome rose cut is backed with foil and mounted east-to-west in a silver cut-down collet, where it is surrounded by a halo of fifteen, smaller rose cut diamonds. These smaller roses are held in place by the ring's collet-edged face, and are further supported by beaded, interior prongs. This ring features an intricate, openwork design of stemmed flowers that grace its shoulders and blend fluidly into its slender, tapering shank. The back of the ring head is closed, domed, and engraved with curls and scrolls— this is typical of the period and of the Rococo aesthetic, as are the tiny c-curls that act as finals for the shank, where it meets the ring head. We love the striking contrast between dark and bright here, and the way light rolls across the triangular facets of the ring's primary diamond! This is a very wearable Georgian ring. It would make a striking engagement ring, for an especially mindful beloved other.
