The beads, here, were made by "pinching" together three small discs, cut from gold sheet. They alternate, one for one, with the pearls, which are threaded onto gold wire between them. Connections are open eyelets. The necklace closes with a concealed hook and eye. This is an elegant modernist rethinking of the classic pearl necklace. It is marked EJ for Eigil Jensen, with Anton Michelsen's glyph, and with 750 for 18k gold purity.
