A low-profile, Edwardian era cluster ring, modeled in 14k rosy yellow gold, whose central, gemstone is an elongated, oval, turquoise cabochon. This beautiful, green-blue turquoise has a silky, time-won lustre. It is encircled by a halo of sixteen, chunky Old European cut diamonds (approx 1.5 carats)— these diamonds are bright and lively (H/I, VS1-SI1), with small tables, steep crown facets, and open culets. They are mounted in the ring's crown-like head, where they are held in place by a combination of beads and modified prongs. The ring's half round shank features a deep, bifurcating line; it tapers toward the base. We love the textural contrasts here— the silken glow of the turquoise, paired with the mad sparkle of old cut diamonds! This ring has a big (but not overwhelming) presence in wear. It would make an outstanding engagement ring.
