Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Three Stone Ring
with Arrows & Stars in 18k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A charming, Edwardian-era, three stone ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose broad, tapering face is set with a chunky, little, old mine cut diamond, and a pair of natural, cornflower-blue sapphires. Each of these gems is nested in a deeply-carved, eight-pointed, star-shaped seat. The ring’s shoulders are carved with elegant spirals, and pointed, arrow-like decor. This low-profile darling tapers, gradually, toward the base. It bears a full series of English hallmarks— these reveal that it was made in Chester, in the year 1905. This ring is also stamped on the outside of the band, with the UK gold standard crown and an "18" for purity. It bears a further inscription, in hand engraved script: June 11th, 1908. This would make a wonderful, unique wedding band!

Notes
The apparently mottled patina that is visible in these photos is not at all visible when this ring is viewed, in hand. We have polished it gently, with respect for its time-won patina, which would be lost completely with mechanical polishing methods.
