Large Early Victorian Magnifying Locket
* * SOLD * *
An antique gold locket, made on a grand scale, with a magnifying lens, and a delicate halo of fifty-two, collet-set seed pearls. This airy darling opens easily at the base of the backside, which nests snugly inside the bezel of the front-piece. The locket's large bail is set with three further pearls. This locket is all original. The design is slim and feminine, a perfect frame for whatever treasure is placed inside— a lock of hair, a photograph, a scrap of fabric, a handful of diamonds or colored gems.
