Dainty Victorian Era Opal & OMC Diamond Flower Ring in 14k Gold
Poor Mouchette
* * SOLD * *
A dainty, Victorian, flower form ring, whose four, round petals are natural opal cabochons. These fiery opal petals display flashes of pink, blue, yellow, violet, and absinth green. They are held in claw-like prongs, and arranged in a cruciform manner around a sparkling, little old mine cut diamond. This delicate ring is beautifully hand-fabricated— its integral, half-round shank tapers gently from the shoulder toward the base. It is charming, and ephemeral, and the opal cabochons are holding up very well, especially considering their 120+ years of age! Marked 14k for purity, and with a pictorial maker's mark (a pair of crossed arrows inside a rectangular cartouche.
