Carla Riccoboni "Alpha" Alphabet Earrings
* * SOLD * *
A striking pair of dangling earrings, modeled in 18k yellow gold, by the innovative Italian designer, Carla Riccoboni. These earrings, which the designer calls "alpha," are part of Riccoboni’s Alphabet series— they are crisp, surprising, and modern. The chain elements of these earrings, which were joined without welding, make a light, metallic sound in movement. The earrings' surfaces are all finished with a deep, brushed texture. We love these earrings for their beautiful, cascading form, for their repetition, and movement. It's hard not to see the earring tops as moonlike, and the chain of shapes (cut from spheres just like these moons) spilling forth from them.
Carla Riccoboni is considered a modern master in the world of of Italian jewelry. These are marked C. Riccoboni, 750.

From the artist's website:
ALPHABET is a SYSTEM of modular chains like an alphabet, made through the weld-less assembly of modules cut from thin gold and silver plates. ALPHABET is an open series: it enjoys the infinite variations of each alphabetical association and the additional ones of length, materials, color.
