Art Nouveau OEC Diamond Toi Et Moi Bypass Ring
in 18k Gold & Platinum
* * SOLD * *
A serene-feeling, Art Nouveau era, toi et moi style bypass ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold and platinum, whose primary gems are a pair of soulful, old European cut diamonds (H/I, VS1). These two old friends are held aloft in crown-like, eight-prong mounts, where they function as finial elements for the ring’s graceful, curling forms. Thirteen smaller, old cut diamonds encrust the ribbon-like face of the ring shank, and an additional, bezel-set, OEC diamond rests between the primary diamonds, like a punctuation mark. This ring's slender shank is reeded, and it tapers toward the base. Art Nouveau era rings, like this one, are becoming quite uncommon. We love its delicate visual quality, and its unique, curvaceous form!
Toi et Moi is French for "you and me—" the romantic sentiment expressed by these balanced, two stone rings, which extolls the virtues of an equal and loving partnership, was popular around the turn of the century and through the Art Deco era.
