Art Deco Era Three Stone OEC Diamond Ring
with Filigree & Engraving, in Platinum
* * SOLD * *
A wonderful, early-Art-Deco-era filigree engagement ring, modeled in platinum, whose gems are a trio of lively old European cut diamonds: a primary .50 carat diamond (I/J, I1), flanked by a pair of .19 carat diamonds (H/I, VS). These charming, hand-cut stones rest in floating bezels, where they are surrounded by crisp, intricate decor elements. Beautifully sawn, airy, curling and folate filigree lives here, alongside curving, sash-like bands that are hand-engraved with the classic motifs of orange blossoms and wheat. This ring has a soft, bombe-like profile, so all of its edges are rounded and cozy. Every millimeter of the setting is thoughtfully decorated, and this ring is among the most visually delicate we've seen. This is incredibly crisp in hand— photos cannot capture its delicate quality!
The primary diamond has a single inclusion that makes it I1— it reads bright and clean to the eye.
