An Art Deco era engagement ring, fabricated in platinum, whose primary gem is a 2.4 carat old European cut diamond (L/M, VS2). This soulful, white-facing diamond is set into an open basket, where it is held in place by four tab-style prongs. The ring is styled with elegant, belt-like, diamond-set, cathedral shoulders, and an additional pair of small, old-cut diamonds are bead set into its gallery. Hand-engraved orange blossoms decorate either side of the proud seat that “buckles” the ring’s shoulders. Its slender, reeded shank tapers toward the base. We love this antique ring for its angular, architectural lines, and its big sparkling presence!
