1970s Wishbone Diamond Engagement Ring Set
by Jabel, in 18k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A very cool, 1970s, chevron-shaped engagement ring and wedding band set, modeled in 18k yellow & white gold, by Jabel. The engagement ring half of this duo features a sparkling round brilliant cut diamond (G, VS2) that is held in a four prong, white gold basket. This four prong mount rests in the "v" of the ring's slender yellow gold shank. The matching (equally-slender) wedding band is also chevron-shaped and it nests sweetly with the engagement ring. Both rings are finished with areas of Florentine texture; the band has a pair of cutaway details that create the impression of a shorter v, sitting beneath the longer one. We love the elegant, minimalist style of this set, the visual effect of the slender bands partnered with a comparatively large diamond, and the way the diamond "floats" atop the pair of chevrons. This feels very contemporary and is especially flattering in wear.
