1960s Cat's Eye Moonstone Cocktail Ring
with Diamonds & Sapphires, in 14k Gold & Platinum
* * SOLD * *

A glorious, mid 20th century, moonstone cocktail ring, made in 14k gold and platinum. The ring's big, high-dome, cat’s eye moonstone cabochon displays a strong milk and honey quality, and its adularescence is mesmerizing! This central gem is held in four claw-like prongs, where it sits inside an elaborate nest of curling, briar-like forms. The platinum "briars" are pave-set with small diamonds; the gold are polished smooth. A handful of prong-set, natural, cornflower-blue sapphires peek out from behind these curling forms. This Bewitched-era cocktail ring is a unique piece of soulful, mystical glamour! Moonstones of this quality are few and far between.
