1930s .50ct OEC Diamond Engagement Ring Set
with Wedding Band in Platinum
* * SOLD * *
A charming 1930s wedding set, modeled in platinum, whose engagement ring features an especially pretty 1/2 carat Old European cut diamond (F/VVS). This sparkling, hand-cut old sweetheart is mounted in a square, split-lipped basket, where clover-like trios of beads hold it securely in place. The ring head is elegant, visually delicate, and a small heart hides in its gallery; it is flanked by trios of single cut diamonds that are bead set into the ring's epaulette shoulders. The engagement ring's slender, knife-edge shank tapers toward the base.
The matching "almost eternity" wedding band is set with 25 small, single cut diamonds, that cover 3/4 of its face. The backside of the wedding band is decorated with a series of orange blossoms. This ring stacks beautifully with its partner. Both pieces are finished with delicate milgrain details.
This set is engraved CNVH to HBVH 12.25.35, on both pieces. Marked Plat 10% Irid for purity.
