A classic, low-profile, Victorian-era "belcher claw" engagement ring, modeled in 14k rosy yellow gold, and set with an especially pretty .55 carat Old European cut diamond (H/I - VS1). This old darling is designed as a wide, band-style ring, with an integral six-prong mount. The six prongs hold its diamond aloft, over the negative space that is unique to the belcher claw style— this negative space looks something like a flower, whose petals are delineated by the ring's tapering, claw-like prongs. This ring has flat, planed shoulders from which four of the ring's "claws" seem to grow— this subtle detail creates extra dimensionality that we especially love! The ring shank tapers toward the base. Marked 14 for purity. This ring is well-suited to all genders.
