A Victorian era cluster ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose primary gem is a 1/3 carat old mine cushion cut diamond (H-I, SI1). This chunky old sparkler is surrounded by a halo of historical diamonds, which are held in clawed prongs, integral to the ring's crown-like head. Various cuts are represented here, including old European cuts, old mine cuts, a peruzzi cut, and a table cut! This group of diamonds is like a history of cutting styles, and the mixed forms give the ring a loveably-wonky, organic vibe! Probably they were family diamonds, brought together to create this ring. We love this ring's bright, sparkling quality, and the naturalistic shape the diamonds impose on its flower-like face. The ring's shank is pinched at the shoulder, and it widens toward the base. Marked 18CT, for purity.
