A late vintage ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose character is defined by the fluid, satiny, sash-like forms that cradle the ring's chrysoprase cabochon. This glowing, oval chrysoprase is held at center, in the modified bezel these curving yellow gold forms create. Astride it (to the SE and NW) a pair of sparkling, RBC diamonds are set in long, white gold tube bezels. This ring is more-or-less signet-shaped, with a broad, low-profile face, and smooth, tapering shoulders. It is weighty and beautifully-made. We love the soft, glowing, sea-green color of the chrysoprase, here, contrasted with the especially-vibrant yellow-gold mount. The fluid movement of the carving, and the ring's satin finish communicate something like the softness of a gathered silk sash, in metal. This is cozy and striking in wear.
