A big, Art Deco era signet ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose oval face is set with a polished slab of black onyx. This glassy onyx gem has straight sides that stand slightly proud of the ring's smooth, integral bezel. Atop the onyx, a bold, curvaceous, white-gold fleur de lis is mounted, with rivets. This fleur de lis appears to float in the black field of the ring face— it is populated with tiny, pave-set, transitional cut diamonds, and its edges are finished with fine milgrained details, so it sparkles like mad! This ring is heavy, with a classic, broad, tapering profile. The fleur de lis ("lily flower," or "flower of the iris") is a long-standing symbolic ornament, calling to mind the French monarchy, purity, and virtue, among other things. We like to imagine Bob le Flamber sporting this dandy example! Marked 18k, for purity.
