A charming, extra-large, cat mask brooch, hand-fabricated at Garrad's London, in 18k yellow gold! Our cheeky old tom has big, almond-shaped, peridot eyes, a coral nose, and long, prominent whiskers. His face is beautifully hand-textured (with an engraver's tool), and an applied, electrochemical patina creates deep, realistic color variation in his "fur." The backside of our cat mask is finished with a mirror polish, and it sits atop a hidden, high-polished frame. The attached pin fitting, and discreet bails, make it possible to wear this as a pendant (on a neck wire or omega chain) or as a brooch (pinned to a heavy scarf or lapel). This guy has lots and lots of swagger!

This is unmarked but has been tested to confirm purity. It was purchased at Garrad's, in London, by a Portland family, in the 1970s.
