Victorian Black Onyx Star of David Orb Earrings
with Pearls in 14k Gold

A very cool pair of Victorian era earrings whose dangling black-onyx orbs are carved with the Star of David. These black orbs have a matte finish, so the shining lines of the carved six-pointed star stand out, subtly, from the rest of the surface. An eight-pointed gold star rests at the center of each larger, star-shaped symbol, and a creamy seed pearl is set at the center of each smaller star. Our starry orbs are fitted with gold bails— they hang from a short series of rings that connect to the earrings' long, shepherd's hook earwires. These are lightweight and easy to wear. We love them for their subdued palate, contrasting textures, and lovely, bobbing movement. The Star of David is a rare motif in jewelry of this era.
