A charming, antique Arts & Crafts panel bracelet, hand fabricated in 14k rosy yellow gold. Composed of five rectangular plaques, and five oval stations, this bracelet features fine, repeating hand-engraved details— flower finials that lay atop pinstriped fields, and flaming stars, flush-set with faceted (old cut) cornflower-blue sapphires. We love the elegant, retrained design, here, the bright pops of color the oval stations provide, and the bracelet's masterful hollow-form construction. Bracelet closure is a well-hidden box clasp, equipped with a safety chain. Marked 14k for purity.
Arts and Crafts was a movement that arose in response to the lower-quality (and often overly ornate) mass produced objects that proliferated during and after the industrial revolution. Arts and Crafts principles center around wholly-handcrafted objects, an understanding of materials, the importance of patterns, and thoughtful, elegant design.
