Vintage 1960s Freshwater Pearl Charm Ring
* * SOLD * *
An unusual, creaturely, multi-charm ring, modeled in 14k yellow gold, whose many, dangling, freshwater pearls are held in small, hand-fabricated, six-tined cages. These caged, pendant, pearls connect to small bails, which are soldered to the ring’s broad, flat, tapering shank. This ring is wonderful for its playful, jangling movement, its sumptuous, organic textures and forms, and its imperfect repetition! It is marked with what appear to be a pair of circular chop marks, so probably this ring is Chinese, made for China’s domestic market. This makes a striking visual statement in wear.
This ring can be resized (up to a US 8, and down to a US 5); to add resizing to your order, visit our services section.
Ring face measures approx 20.5 mm, including variable dangling elements; shank measures approx 10.2 mm the the center of the ring face and tapers to approx 5 mm at the base.
