Vintage 1940s Citrine & Diamond Halo Ring in Platinum
* * SOLD * *
A 1940s dinner ring, with ideal proportions, made in platinum, and featuring a large, striking, citrine center. This sunny gem is set in a milgrain bezel and is framed by a bevy of transitional-cut, white diamonds, each carefully bead-set into round seat. These seated diamonds create a scalloped halo around the citrine, which gives the ring a classic floral flavour. The ring's under-gallery is pierced in a manner that also suggests flowers, but these suggestions are subtle. This ring is especially flattering in wear. Citrine has long been regarded as the stone of fortune, bringing wealth to the wearer.
