Victorian Wide Band Ring with Cheerful Swallows & Flowers in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A Victorian era wedding band, made in 14k rose gold and hand-engraved with the most adorable little swallow. Our cheerful fellow is all puffed up with song, and surrounded by florals sprays. This charming engraved motif covers the entire surface of the ring, without breaking, so you get two bird friends. The graphic quality of this ring's engraving is especially sweet and character-rich among its contemporaries. The ring is marked 14, and is inscribed M.E.M. is curling period script.
US 7 (on the mandrel); fits like a US 6 1/2.
Width is approx 7.2 mm.
There is a join line from the ring's original manufacture, visible on the inside of the band. These rings were fabricated, not cast. This is not a resizing mark. The engraving on the ring face covers the mark and its pattern in unbroken and unaffected.
