Victorian Talle d'Epargné Tablet Ring for Phoebe & Harriett in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
An unusual Victorian-era ring, made in 14k yellow gold and decorated with Talle d'Epargné enamel & pearls. This ring has a mystical quality— its face looks like a tablet or an open book, and its shoulders are carved to resemble a pair of lyres. This is really striking in wear. The backside of the ring head is engraved with the names of two women, who were born exactly 100 years apart— Phoebe Hill, 1837, Harriett 1937.
