Victorian Era Plume Agate Locket Ring in 10k Gold
* * SOLD * *
An unusual, Victorian-era, locket ring, with a sliding function, whose rectangular face is set with an outstanding plume agate cabochon. This translucent agate has highly-figural plume inclusions that read like a tender pair of tree or mushroom friends, leaning into one another on the floor of a tiny forest. The ring’s locket function is very discreet and is not noticeable when the face is closed. Its ornate, four-tine shoulders are deeply-engraved; its flat shank is weighty and broad. Metal is 10k rosy yellow gold. This is a rare and wonderful object, well-suited to all genders. Tuck a small photograph inside, a short affirmation, or a lock of hair.
