Victorian Era Australian Opal Ring with OMC Diamond Halo in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A heart-winning, Victorian-era, opal and diamond ring, modeled in 14k rose gold, whose central, blue opal cabochon is held in twelve, slender, hand-formed prongs. This round opal has a vibrant blue-green body tone and its patches of fire present in brilliant hues of green, yellow and red. The opal is framed by a sparkling halo of chunky little old mine cut diamonds. This ring has a scalloped gallery that is punctuated with notches. Its slender, half-round shank tapers toward the base. This opal is natural and solid (not a doublet); the backside of the stone was left somewhat native by the lapidarist, as is customary.
