* * SOLD * *
A Victorian-era promise ring, whose shoulders are ornately engraved with pennants, each holding a pair of orange blossoms. This decor compliment the bold design of the ring head, which features eight, big, squared prongs. The ring shank is broad and flat. The bloodstone itself is glossy and beautifully figured, with well-defined bright-red flecks spread over the stone's deep green field. This design is strong and romantic, and it reflects one of the most popular design aesthetics of the time. The date 28.9.80 (Sept. 28, 1880) is engraved inside the ring shank.
