The Owl & The Horned Moon Earrings in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
An original Poor Mouchette design, featuring a highly-detailed carving of a small owl perched on a crescent moon. Our slice of moon is half textured, so that it appears to be wrapped in a garland of flowers; the owl's slightly tipped ear gives him a charming, quizzical expression. A natural, faceted ruby rests beneath the moon in a bezel setting. In the language of the Victorians, owls represent vigilance and wisdom, and the crescent moon represents new beginnings; a horned moon (a thin crescent with its ends pointing upward) is associated with the goddess Diana and with lunar magic. These earrings are made by human animals in Portland, Oregon.
We have a pair of yellow gold earrings, set with rubies (as pictured, here) that are ready to ship.
Measures approx 14 mm x 11.8 mm. Gemstone is 3 mm.
These earrings are made to order, in 14k gold (yellow, rose, or white); use the drop down menu to select your preferred metal. Please allow 3 - 5 weeks for us to complete your jewels.
