Retro Era Pearl and Diamond Halo Ring in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A mid 20th century pearl and diamond halo ring with Edwardian inclinations, made in 14k rosy yellow gold with a white gold face, to support its white diamonds. The halo's single cut diamonds are each bead-set in a small quadrilateral (hey math!) seat, and these little seats form the subtly-scalloped halo of cells around the pearl center--- this is what makes the ring so charming, if you ask me. The central pearl is silvery white with beautiful unmarred nacre. The head of the ring is slightly proud of the split shoulder. The substantial half round shank remains broad to the base. This romantic doll is looking backwards from the 1940s to the turn of that century. Marked 585 for 14k gold.
