1960s Hong Kong Jadeite Jade Trillium Flower Ring in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A very sweet, mid 20th century ring, modeled in 14k yellow gold, to resemble a trillium blossom. Our flower’s petals are three, apple-green, jadeite-jade cabochons. Each of these petals is held in three prongs; their mountings are situated in an unusual cocked manner— each "petal" sits at a slightly different angle, and they appear to overlap slightly at the ring's center. A whorl of three, small, hand-engraved leaves peek out from between these green petals. A cute, textured gold pom functions as a central fourth prong, while representing the flower’s stamens. The ring's half-round shank tapers from its modified cathedral shoulders. This old darling is marked for Hong Kong, and with 14k for purity. We love the dimensionality here, the innovative setting style, and the ring’s whimsical vibe!
