Victorian Era Ruby & OMC Diamond Halo Ring in 18k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A darling, late-Victorian cluster ring, modeled in 18k rosy yellow gold, whose central gem is a vibrant, natural ruby. This oval ruby is surrounded by a halo of eight chunky little old mine cut diamonds. The gems are nested together in the ring's round face, where they are enlivened by its light-filled, honeycomb, open-work gallery. The ring's shank features a cute, raised (bumped) shoulder; the shank tapers subtly toward the base. This is an especially sweet example of turn-of-the-twentieth-century English jewelry. It is very low profile, and would make a unique, easy-wearing, engagement ring.
