A darling, Victorian-era, opal and diamond ring, made in 12k rose gold, whose central, translucent opal cabochon is held aloft in fourteen, slender, hand-formed prongs. This water opal has a warm golden tone and its fire is primarily red, gold and vibrant absinth green. The opal is framed by a glinting halo of prong-set, rose cut diamonds. This ring has an ornate crown-like gallery. Its shank is narrow at the shoulder, widening toward the base. Marked with a 12 to indicate metal purity.
